Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions govern the SWITCH 2025 Promotion (“the Promotion”) and are binding upon all participants. The Promotion is conducted by RewardsHub Proprietary Limited (“the Promoter”). In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other communication, representation, or publication related to the Promotion — including but not limited to advertising or promotional materials — these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Instructions and information relating to the redemption of prizes shall form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the Promotion constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to participants residing within the Republic of South Africa.
1. Important Provisions
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 (“CPA”), we are obligated to draw your attention to certain important provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions. The specific clauses that include these key provisions, along with the reasons for their significance, are outlined below. You are strongly advised to read all of these clauses in full and not rely solely on the summaries provided herein.
Clauses 13, 14, 17, 20, and 21 of these Terms and Conditions are of material importance as they limit, and in certain instances exclude, obligations, liabilities, and legal responsibilities that would otherwise be owed to you by the Promoter and/or other parties. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge and accept that your legal rights and remedies against the Promoter and such third parties may be curtailed or waived in terms of these clauses. Specifically, these provisions may restrict or exclude your ability to recover losses, damages, liabilities, or harm suffered by you or any other person as a consequence of your participation in the Promotion.
Furthermore, Clause 19 warrants particular attention, as it imposes obligations and responsibilities directly upon you. In terms of this clause, you may bear liability for taxes, levies, claims, and other associated costs. You also assume various risks and accept responsibility for any losses, damages, harm, or injury that you or others may incur as contemplated therein.
Clauses 14, 19, and 21 of these Terms and Conditions impose indemnity obligations on you. In terms of these clauses, you are required to indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter, as well as other persons or entities, against any and all claims, losses, damages, and harm that may be suffered by the Promoter or such third parties as a result of the circumstances described in Clauses 14 and 21. Additionally, you undertake to indemnify the Promoter and such third parties against any claims for loss, damage, or harm that may be instituted by any other person or entity arising from those same circumstances.
These indemnity provisions impose significant legal responsibilities, obligations, and risks on you. You may be held liable for, and obliged to pay, the full value of any such claims, losses, damages, or harm that may be suffered or asserted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties, representations, undertakings, and guarantees of any nature, whether express, implied, or tacit, and not expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions, are hereby excluded.
2. The Promoter is RewardsHub Pty (Ltd)
3. The Promotion is valid only in South Africa and is open to every South African citizen over the age of 18 and must have a valid South African ID.
4. The Promotion is not open to any agencies, sales agents/ merchandisers, packaging suppliers and their immediate family members (spouses, life partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren) or their business partners, or any person who is (i) a director, member, partner, or agent of, or consultant to the Promoter or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by, the Promoter; or (ii) a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Promoter.
5. The promotion is not open to employees and their immediate families of SWITCH Energy Drink (Pty) Ltd, The Alternative Power (Pty) Ltd beverage company, and RewardsHub (Pty) Ltd.
6. Participation in the promotion constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions. All information relating to this promotion and published on any promotional material will form part of the terms and conditions of entry.
7. The promotion will run from 1st September 2025 00h00 and end on 31st December 2025. No entries received before the 1st September 2025 00h00 or after 31st December 2025 23h59 will be accepted.
8. Participants wishing to take part in the Promotion must:

- Purchase any SWITCH Energy Drink 500ml
- Locate Unique Code under tab (1 code per tab)
- Dial the USSD *120*440# and follow the prompts
- USSD charged at 20cents per 20seconds
- Should you experience issues with your unique code email the customer support with a picture of your code for assistance, if valid a new unique code will be issued to you within 24 hours (support@rewardshubsa.co.za)
9. You stand a chance of winning Instant Airtime, Instant Data, 1 of 20 OMODA C7’s, Apple iPhones, Cash Cards, instant airtime/data, or digital shopping vouchers.
9.1. Instant Prizes:
- All prizes are issued on a chance to win basis.
- Random Instant airtime and data prizes will be awarded during the competition period
- Winners will be sent an SMS with their prize should they be awarded.
- Total Value of airtime to be awarded is R2,500,000 (Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Rand) which will be awarded in increments of R50 (Fifty Rand)
- Total Value of data to be awarded is R2,500,000 (Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Rand) which will be awarded in increments of R50 (Fifty Rand). Where the network provider of the winner is not able to deliver the amount of R50, the balance will be awarded as airtime.
9.2. Weekly Prizes:
- Scheduled draws will take place in accordance with the schedule in this document. These draws refer to the following prizes i.e. OMODA C7 cars, Digital Vouchers, Apple iPhones and Cash Cards.
- Winners will be sent an SMS for their entry to be validated.
- The weekly prizes will be handled and distributed within 6 weeks of the draw date.
Weekly draws:
- Digital vouchers will be awarded randomly for the following retailers i.e. Take-A-Lot, Pick ‘n Pay and Dischem. There are 2,000 vouchers to be awarded during the promotion, each to the value of R500.00 (Five Hundred Rand). Rewards will be distributed 6 weeks from winners being drawn.
- There are 69 Apple iPhones to be won. Rewards will be distributed 6 weeks from winners being drawn.
- Cash Cards will be awarded randomly and are redeemable at any retailer that accepts them as a form of payment. There are 300 Cash Cards to be awarded during the promotion, each to the value of R5000.00 (Five Thousand Rand). Rewards will be distributed 6 weeks from winners being drawn.
- There are 20 OMODA C7 Cars to be won and these will also be drawn as per the relevant draw schedule.

10. The potential winners selected for the OMODA C7 Cars will be selected by means of a random audited draw, which will be conducted at the offices of RewardsHub.
11. Drawn winners are not winners until they have completed the validation process which is dependent on the prize being won. Winners of weekly drawn prizes will be SMS’d with instructions to upload relevant documents i.e.

- Potential winners of vehicles will be required to provide their South African ID document
- Potential winners of Cash Cards, iPhones or Vouchers will be required to provide delivery details to where the prizes can be delivered.
- All potential winners have 48hrs to provide the required validation information. Failure to provide this detail within the 48hrs will result in a disqualification and the promoter will move onto the next potential winner.
Announcement and handover of vehicles to follow by no later than 6 weeks from the potential winners being drawn dependant on winner verification process.

- Participants who won any of the other weekly prizes will still stand a chance to win 1 of 20 OMODA C7 Cars i.e. winning a prize within the promotion doesn’t exclude a consumer from potentially winning 1 of 20 OMODA C7 Cars, as long as they have entered the promotion 5 times they will be in the draw.
- The draw process is fully automated and the drawing of a set of potential winners of the 1 of 20 OMODA C7 Cars is conducted algorithmically
- Drawn mobile numbers are not deemed to have won until the individual has completed the necessary validation steps i.e.
- Potential Winners will be required to provide a copy of their South African ID document and must be 18yrs or older.
- Vehicle winners must have a valid South African driver’s license.
- Validated winners will need to be available in person for commercial events related to the OMODA C7 prize and this will be awarded at SWITCH ENERGY DRINKS discretion
- The winner/s must be in possession of a valid South African ID document as well as a valid South African Driver’s license.
- Insurance of the vehicle will be for the account of the winner/s.
- All vehicles awarded will come with a full tank of petrol.
- Initial license and registration fees will be covered by the vehicle manufacturer. All fees including license and registration incurred post the initial sponsorship will be for the account of the winner.
- Once the winner/s take possession of the vehicle, the promoter and SWITCH ENERGY have no responsibility in terms of claims levelled against them in respect to any damages whatsoever including loss of life or injury of any kind whatsoever.
- The winners will be notified telephonically
- The winners will be contacted twice within a 48-hour period, and should they not answer either call or lack communication, they will forfeit the prize and the first stand by winner will be contacted
- The same process will be followed for all standby winners who are called
- The prizes may not be transferred or exchanged for cash
- Prize Delivery would take place 45 working days after validation of the winner has taken place.
12. You may enter the promotion as many times as you like, but you will need to make a new purchase of SWITCH 500ml Energy Drinks and follow (Clause 8) and retain your till slip as proof of purchase/Picture of the Unique code for every entry submitted.
13. By entering this competition Participants may be given the opportunity to opt in to allow RewardsHub and SWITCH Energy Drink and their respective Brands to collect, store and use (not share) their personal information for communication, statistical purposes and marketing communication.
14. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) agents and suppliers, for any prizes which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be redeemed for any technical reason, delivery or other reasons.
15. As far as the law allows, all Participants indemnify the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) agents and suppliers, against any / all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever connected to or arising from their participation in any way in this Promotion and/or any receipt of and/or use of any of the prizes.
16. Participants may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes such as appearing on Power Play Facebook page or Twitter feed. The Participants shall always be entitled to decline the above request. The Participants who take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of The Promoter.
17. By taking part in this Promotion, Participants hereby warrant that all information submitted to the Promoter is true, current and complete.
18. The Promoter may decline to award a prize (i.e., refuse to issue a prize) if there is a reasonable suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
19. As far as the law allows, the Promoter shall only be responsible for those costs which these Terms and Conditions expressly say that the Promoter will pay. The Participant is responsible for (i) any and all applicable local taxes and fees; and (ii) all other costs incurred by it, or arising directly or indirectly from, the Participant’s participation in the Promotion, or from the acceptance, receipt, use or enjoyment of any Prize. Without limiting the rest of this clause 19, the participant will be responsible for the cost of submitting proof of purchase and entering the promotion and any network charges that apply, as per the tariff rates charged by the participant’s mobile network provider.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate and or amend the Promotion immediately and without notice if circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) agents and suppliers, from continuing to conduct the Promotion. In the event of such termination, as far as the law allows, all Participants acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) agents and suppliers, in respect thereof.
21. As far as the law allows the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) agents and suppliers, shall not be responsible for a Participant’s failure to access the Promotion for any reason whatsoever including, by way of example only, as a consequence of communications or network failures.
22. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of South Africa.
23. All final prizes awarded is at the discretion of Switch Energy.
24. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, then that provision shall be severed from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions.
